14 Oct AMA Regional Collegiate Conference to Visit UNOH, October 23
The University of Northwestern Ohio’s Chapter of the American Marketing Association is hosting a Virtual Regional Collegiate Conference for AMA Chapters across the nation on October 23 from 8:00 am-3:00pm. Hosted and managed by AMA Collegiate Chapters, Regional Conferences are events where other AMA chapters and local Universities attend for Professional Development, hear from speakers in the field, partake in competitions, and meet with career recruiters.
Regional High School DECA Chapters have also been invited to attend the conference at UNOH. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the UNOH AMA Chapter has decided to deliver their conference in a virtual format. This format has allowed many more chapters to attend UNOH’s regional conference. This year they will have a record attendance of more than 100 students from 24 different colleges and universities across the nation!
UNOH’s 2020 Regional Conference focuses on the theme “Adaptive Marketing”. Speakers will include Sara Anderson, owner of Sara’s Sweets; Pete Suter, owner of Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn, Chad Hughes, from Lima Memorial Hospital; Seth Thitoff, with Team Fitz Graphics; and Dr. Carla Childers, Co-Chair, International AMA Collegiate Council.
There will also be three major competitions for collegiate chapters to participate in:
- CDW Perfect Pitch
- Marketing Strategy
- C.H. Robinson Sales Competition
This is the fourth annual AMA Regional Collegiate Conference to be held by UNOH. By hosting a regional conference, the UNOH AMA Chapter will earn points towards their annual competition.
