Coffe Amor to Open Drive-Thru on UNOH Campus

A locally owned and operated roastery and coffee shop is expanding to the west side of Lima and opening its first drive through location on the campus of the University of Northwestern Ohio.  Coffe Amor is replacing the Starbucks Café located in the Barnes & Noble @ UNOH bookstore at 1721 Hartzler Road and taking advantage of turn key drive through set up already in place.

Coffe Amor to Open Drive-Thru on UNOH Campus“We have always been interested in having a drive-through for our customers,” said owner David Tilton. “The drive through makes our products more accessible to all of our customers including the college students, faculty, and staff, and allows us to serve even more of the Lima community, especially the ones who are on the go looking for a high quality, locally made products.”

“We are looking forward to a great new partnership with Coffe Amor,” UNOH Controller Jim Bronder stated. “Being able to help a locally owned and operated business serve our students, staff, and residents from the region, as well as offering up a fantastic cup of coffee, tea, frozen drinks as well as house-made baked goods and coffee by the bag through the drive through, and eventually in-store will add something special to our campus environment.”

Coffe Amor started in 2013 as a home-based business with Tilton roasting coffee in his own kitchen and selling it to family and friends.  The first café and roastery was opened in 2016, with a second and third location opened in 2017 and 2020 respectively.

“Coffe Amor is not just a coffee shop, we feel strongly that this is our path to show kindness and love to others, not with lip service but through action,” said co-owner Gabrielle Tilton. “Our mission is to add value to our community and to help others in any way we can as well as providing excellent customer service, atmosphere, and of course, an amazing cup of coffee.”

The drive through will be operational in spring 2021 with plans to open the in-store café and retail space in early fall.
