Malone University to Launch Data Analytics Program

Campus photo of Malone UniversityMalone University is establishing a new program in data analytics, which draws substantially from math and computer science. Graduates of the program will be able to serve their organizations and businesses by inspecting and modeling data with the goal of discovering information that can be used in decision-making.

“Graduates of this type of program are in high demand,” said Malone University Provost Greg Miller. “Malone graduates will stand out because of their high standards of ethics. Our world needs data analysts who responsibly and skillfully use the massive amount of information, much of it personal, that companies use to make strategic decisions.

“Graduates of this program will also have work experience before they leave college in a required internship with one of our community partners in Northeast Ohio. Combined with our university-wide focus on one-on-one career and personal mentoring, this program is a great opportunity for the math and computer science interested students to launch their purposeful and meaningful life.”

Malone students will also have several experiential learning opportunities on campus through participation with campus clubs such as the Financial Professionals in Business and the Sports Management Association and through strategic engagement with Malone alumni working in the field.
