29 Sep Mount Union BSN program Achieves 100 Percent First-Time Pass Rate
For the third time in the past four years, graduates of the University of Mount Union’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program achieved a 100 percent first-time passage rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Every student who has graduated from the Mount Union BSN program has passed the NCLEX, with more than 98 percent passing the exam on the first time in the history of the program. This includes Mount Union’s first class of graduates from its second-degree accelerated BSN program who earned degrees this year.
“To our most recent alumni we, your Department of Nursing faculty and University family, could not be prouder of you,” said Dr. Tim Meyers, professor and chair of the Department of Nursing at Mount Union. “Amongst a time that will go down as one of, if not the most, challenging academic periods in history you demonstrated what it means to be a Purple Raider. You are proof that the best nurses wear purple.”
NCLEX is an exam organized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing which is, “dedicated to developing psychometrically sound and legally defensible nurse licensure and certification examinations consistent with current practice.”
