“This is very exciting news and only possible because of the tremendous support from so many people across campus who helped us bring these programs to fruition,” stated Megan Wereley ‘94, current chair of the education department and associate professor of education. “From helping us to initially conceptualize what each program might look like to sending in (the required paperwork), we truly appreciate all the work and enthusiasm from department chairs and other faculty.”

Wooster is a Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation accredited institution. Students who complete the education major are fully licensed to teach in the state of Ohio, and those who plan to teach elsewhere find that Ohio’s high standards for licensure provide them with sound preparation for teaching and allow them to pursue licensure with relative ease.
