03 Feb College Theatre Festival Recognizes Muskingum Students
Three Muskingum University students were recognized at the Region II Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in January 2021.
Christina Tyree ’22 won the National Award for Theatrical Design Excellence – Lighting, the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas Award (Masks), and the Regional Award for Allied Design and Technology Excellence. Her National Award in lighting recognized her work on The Atlantis Project, an October 2020 Muskingum Theatre Department production.
Sydney Campbell ’22 won Regional Outstanding Cold Read Audition and was also recognized as a semi-finalist for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. Fun Muskie Fact: Sydney is the daughter of Douglas Wright Campbell ’96 and Katina Blackburn Campbell ’95.
Aliyah Guthrie ’23 won Honorable Mention for Theatrical Design Excellence: Classwork Project – Costumes.
The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival program involves 18,000 students annually from colleges and universities across the country.
